With Teethan, the dentist can now measure what until now was only observable with an objective examination
Thanks to Teethan in only 3 minutes you can evaluate the occlusal condition of your patient, obtaining a clear and easy to read report. How is this possible?
The examination with Teethan – a totally wireless surface electromyograph – consists of two tests measuring muscle activity in maximum intercuspation.
The first one, performed by interposing two salivary rollers between the upper and lower arch, is a calibration one; the second one, performed in natural intercuspation, allows to detect the occlusion parameters.
Each test lasts only a few seconds, at the end of which Teethan processes the recorded values of muscular activity. The graphic synthesis of the digital analysis of the dental occlusion allows the patient to understand, in visual mode, his occlusal condition and the necessary interventions to improve it.
